Preliminary results

Prospective Study of Tamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen (Nolvadex) Capsules

The present study was conducted in a tertiary center in the State of Saudi Arabia in order to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor, Tamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen (Nolvadex) Capsules, in a group of female patients with elevated serum estradiol and progesterone levels. A prospective, randomized, double-blind, parallel-group, open-label study was conducted between May and June 2020.

TAMOXIFEN Citrate-Containing Estrogen (Nolvadex) Capsules, a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor, was chosen as the treatment of choice for the study. Patients were randomized to receive a single dose of 10 mgTamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen (Nolvadex) Capsules (Oral Solubility: 10 mg/ml) administered orally once daily, every 12 hours for a minimum of 5 weeks.

Patients were randomized in two separate groups by a single-blind method. Group A received Tamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen (Nolvadex) Capsules (Oral Solubility: 10 mg/ml) every 12 hours for a minimum of 5 weeks. Group B received Tamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen (Nolvadex) Capsules (Oral Solubility: 10 mg/ml) every 12 hours for a minimum of 5 weeks. Patients were asked to rate the benefit of the treatment in each treatment group.

In Group A, patients were followed for an average of 7.6 months. In Group B, patients were followed for a median of 5.4 months. The mean duration of follow-up was 28.6 months. The mean age of the participants in the Tamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen group and the Tamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen group were similar. In the Tamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen group, the mean estradiol (mg/dL) level was higher in the Tamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen group than in the Tamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen group (p=0.0004).

In a secondary analysis, the mean time from initiation of the therapy to the first occurrence of side effects was significantly lower in Tamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen group than in the Tamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen group (p=0.037).

The present study demonstrated that the use of Tamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen (Nolvadex) Capsules (Oral Solubility: 10 mg/ml) was safe and well tolerated in the treatment of patients with elevated estradiol levels, with the occurrence of side effects similar to those observed in the use of tamoxifen citrate-containing estrogen, which can be safely and effectively used in patients with elevated estradiol levels.

The main limitation of the present study was the short duration of follow-up. We could not compare the effects of the treatment with Tamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen (Nolvadex) Capsules (Oral Solubility: 10 mg/ml) on the safety and efficacy of the treatment.

Conclusion

The present study was conducted in a tertiary center in the State of Saudi Arabia and evaluated the efficacy and safety of Tamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen (Nolvadex) Capsules (Oral Solubility: 10 mg/ml) in a group of female patients with elevated serum estradiol levels.

This study demonstrated that the use of Tamoxifen Citrate-Containing Estrogen (Nolvadex) Capsules (Oral Solubility: 10 mg/ml) is safe and well tolerated in patients with elevated estradiol levels.

Nolvadex, an antiestrogen drug, has been the subject of a lot of media attention. I have been taking it for about 12 years now and the side effects are very bad. The only side effect I got is gynecomastia (nausea) which I have been taking for a while. I took it for about three years but have had no effect since then. I can't take it anymore but I want to know if it is the right thing to do to prevent breast cancer. I don't understand why I would want to take it, it would be an interesting drug. What are some alternatives?

I have had no side effects since my last cycle of Nolvadex.

Since my last cycle of Nolvadex I have noticed that my breast is very sensitive to light and that I get a lot of tenderness in my breasts. The only other side effect is the loss of libido (I don't want to have to have to have that much of a libido). I think I might try something else to get a better breast size but I am not sure. I don't want to take the drug for breast cancer. What do you recommend?

I am on 2 different cycles. The first one was started in March of 2011 and I had been taking Nolvadex for about a year. The second one was in April of 2012. After one year, I had no side effects and my breast cancer is gone. I was diagnosed with a slight increase in breast size (4mm) on the first cycle and a very large area of increased breast size (3.5mm). I think I should take the Nolvadex for a year or two, but I don't want to take it at this point in time. I am thinking of doing something with my estrogen and switching to a different drug. I don't know what kind of benefits would be gained if I stopped taking it. I am interested in learning about some other breast cancer drugs.

Thanks for your responses. I feel more relaxed about taking Nolvadex. I am hoping I can find a way to control the side effects and I can find a way to make it better. I am a bit worried about the effect of Nolvadex. I feel like I am getting to a place where I can take Nolvadex for the rest of my life. Thanks again for your time and advice!
